Sherri Glover Memorial Award
LearnToRide.ORG has dedicated an annual Sherri Glover Memorial Award to be given to a female RiderCoach who exemplifies "Integrity, Humor, Patience, Poise, Creativity, Leadership, and Knowlege" in helping people learn to ride motorcycles. The award was established at the January 2004 meeting of the Tennessee Motorcycle Rider Instructors. http://www.learntoride.org/SherriGloverTribute.html
LearnToRide.ORG makes $100 annual contributions, in memory of Sherri, to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
2004 Sherri Glover Memorial Award: Rebecca Neal
2005 Sherri Glover Memorial Award: Donna Morris
LearnToRide.ORG has dedicated a shade tree/rest area to honor Sherri's memory at it's Nashville State Community College training range on White Bridge Road. This is a place where motorcycle students often gather for a break during the heat of the day. A sign was also placed at the crash site on Highway 100.
The above sign honors Sherri at the Tennessee Rider Instruction Program Inc., Nashville (TRIPIN) course site at Nashville State Community College on White Bridge Road.
Sherri Glover began riding in 1991. In 1996, at age 27, Sherri became a certified instructor and subsequently coached students as part of the Tennessee Motorcycle Rider Education Program Inc at Nashville State Community College. Sherri often combined her interest in riding with fund raising such as the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
Sherri's family thanks the Tennessee Motorcycle Rider Instructors for establishing this annual award in memory of Sherri and for placing the signs honoring Sherri. We wish everyone enjoyment and safety while riding.
